After almost a year, I'm back to my blog. Many things happened in the last 10 or 11 months. I moved house, got married and embarked on a new big writing project.
The world has changed also...and tremendously. The initial subprime crisis / warning has now eroded every section and every corner of the world. And the erosion is continuing and nobody seems to be able to stop it.
The stock market has practically crashed and many banks and investment institutes failed. It's not the end yet...there is more to come.
Yes, it's very very bad. But I could see the good that comes out of it. People start to realize that saving is a virtue and be frugal and prudent are good. People begin to cut back on consumption (not because they want to but they have no other choice), still it is good. It's good for the planet and it's good for us all. People even start to contemplate that the root of the problem is greed! Wow! You wouldn't hear it 10 months ago. If you dared mention it back then, you would probably be labelled as a failure who got jealous of other achievers' great success.
It will be interesting to see how things are unfolded in the coming months.
